FTP upload information

While we have the ability to accept direct uploads here on the site, for larger file uploads we ask that you FTP them to us. FTP (file transfer protocol) allows you to upload unlimited file sizes to our server. Of course if you have a file that won't fit on anything smaller than a DVD-R (say a gig), shipping it may be the better option. All uploaded files must be in Zip (.zip) or Stuffit (.sit, .sitx) format.

In order for you to FTP your files to us you'll need an FTP application. (unless you have knowledge of FTP directly from your operating system or internet explorer.) There are several "free" ftp applications available on the internet.

Windows:

Smart FTP is an easy to use, free FTP application available for Windows.

Macintosh:

There are several Mac FTP applications available both free and shareware. Though we use "Goliath" you can find them all here.

Also available are FTP plug-ins for your browser. The fireFTP plugin for Firefox is the only one we have actually used here at TVP, so it's the only one we can suggest.
